Pinback’s Rob Crow reveals new band Rob Crow’s Gloomy Place

Pinback frontman Rob Crow is back to making music.

Called Rob Crow’s Gloomy Place, this project is Crow’s comeback after expressing online that he was “done with music.” He said that he was going to “finish and release” all his current records and then “give up.”

He added: “My kids are growing and my downstairs studio would probably be put to better use as a bedroom. I’ll keep a small setup with which I can use for scoring, editing and things when they come up. Also quitting Facebook and Twitter and using that energy to concentrate on writing in my journal. Chucking the booze as well will help with that.”

A new post on Facebook, however, showed that the indie rocker has gotten his life back together. He is now back with a new band, with an upcoming tour in the works.
