Canadian rapper Saint West has officially announced his retirement following the birth of the second child of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West.
Lindon McIntyre said that he has retired after hearing news that they gave their baby the same name as his rapper name.
The Wests announced that their son Saint was born on December 5th.
McIntyre, who is from Vancouver, released a video statement saying: “Hi, I’m Lindon, also known as Saint West. I’d like to announce my official retirement from hip-hop.”
“Congratulations Kanye and Kim, thank you for choosing such a beautiful name. Saint West, may God smile on you. I’ll always be cheering for you. And try to avoid becoming a rapper,” he added.
McIntyre is now going by his government name, said TMZ, which made the announcement.
Kim and Kanye now have two children: Saint, and his older sister North West, who was born in 2013.
Before Saint was born, Kim was asked about possible baby names. She said: “I don’t like South West… North will always, you know, be better and be more… she has a better direction.”
